Clamp Stuff ... Hey all,I need a little friendly advice. What would you do?I’ve decided I’m going to sell the clamp business — yes, the one I thought I hadretired from. I’ve been going back and forth on this decision since last year. The clamp has been a good little business. I’ve sold over 450 clamps at around $400each, plus a lot of add-ons. So this isn’t just an idea sitting on a shelf. It has alreadyproven people will buy it.I’ve also been working on version 2.0 since last year. It still needs some refining, butI’m very confident it has potential. The right buyer could take it further than Iprobably want to at this point. It has some unique features that could be useful forsawing, engraving, and maybe even industries I haven’t thought of yet.The business would include the patent, files, designs, and everything needed tomove forward. My question is this:Would you spend another $1,500 to prove version 2.0 before selling,or would you let the new owner take that gamble?Part of me says prove it first. Another part of me says let the next person put theirown energy into it.I know life is always a gamble, but I honestly believe this could be a nice business forthe right person. Thanks for any thoughts or advice.Dennis Montilepre PS: I AM ACCEPTING BUSINESS PROPOSALS
